            Challapalli town in Krishna district is recently in news, not for his historicity or its Zamindarian lineage. It is in news for a different cause and reason. The cause is the commitment of Dr.T.Padmavathi and Dr.D.R.K.Prasad and the reason is the announcement of the Smart Village Smart Ward programm by the honourable Chief Minister Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu Ably assisted by a team of committed volunteers like Dr.M.Gopalakrishnaiah and P.U.S.Sastry, they shipped a new social movement called Swachha Sundara Challapalli.

            The activity has been going on

            For the last 1400 days without a break. Under the campaign, the town underwent a near metamorphosis and today it looks like a garden city and a clean habitation. It is but a small initiative emanated from a deep and internal urge if the doctor couple that later catapulted into a contemporary social movement.

            Small is always beautiful.
