COLLECTION OF WASTE

• Daily collection of waste from households in 9 wards (Total 18 wards in Challapalli) with Our Own Vehicles  and crew was done for 3 1/2 years.
• Waste collection from main road of Challapalli with a Tractor and crew was done for 3 years.
• We collected the Garbage and transported to the dumping yard.

WATERING THE 5000 PLANTS AND ROADSIDE GARDENS

• More than 5000 plants were planted by Swachha Challapalli volunteers in all roads of Challapalli.
• Road side gardens were developed near SRYSP Junior College, Padmavathi Hospital Road, Nagayalanka Road, Pedakallepalli Road and Nadakuduru Road. Many more Gardens were developed in Dumping yard, Burial ground, Busstand and in Karmala Bhavan. We are doing watering to all these plants & gardens.

EDUCATING PEOPLE REGARDING CLEANLINESS

• We are going to schools, colleges and households to educate the students and public regarding the importance of cleanliness of our surroundings.
• We are also educating through pamphlets, posters and through print, scocial & electronic media.
• We are campaigning against polythene bags, plastic glasses & single use Flexies. We are also  educating the public about the main principles of waste management i.e. ‘REDUCE – REUSE – RECYCLE”

BUILDING TOILETS

• We are building I.S.L.s who cannot build on their own to make Challapalli “Open Defecation Free” villages. A.P. Government is giving Rs. 15,000 for each. I.S.L. We are bearing the rest of the amount.
• We are giving Rs. 2,000 who are building I.S.L.s on their own.
• We are constructing a modern Public Toilet Complex at NTR Park in Challapalli.
• We provided 2 Mobile Toilets in RTC Busstand.

DAILY PARTICIPATING IN THE CLEALINESS ACTIVITY IN SWACHHA CHALLAPALLI

• Swachha Challapalli activity started on 12-11-2014. Volunteers doing cleaning of roads, drains and  Jungle clearance.  The Trust is  supporting all activities of Swachha Challapalli Movement.
• Almost 20 villages started “swachha” movement in their villages. The trust is  giving moral support to all Swachha movements.

APPEAL

  Till date we are spending the money for the activities from our activists, friends and relatives. until the local body (Panchayat) gets self sustainability to do the entire sanitation of the village the trust is committed to support the panchayat. So the trust needs donations to maintain its Employees salaries, vehicles maintenance and other activities.

 We request the philanthropists to donate liberally to the trust, so that it can participate in the transformation of Challapalli into “Swachha Sundara Challapalli”
